Wilderness Weekend is back and this time it’s more compact and efficient than ever, we’ve still got a range of awesome tutors flying in to pass on some wilderness know-how and this time you don’t even have to venture out of Wellington! How bloody good!
What will the day involve I hear you ask. Here’s a bit of a run down:
The morning will be spent on 4 tutorials covering a range of skills from hypothermia, fixing fractures and trauma triage to tropical disease medicine. In the afternoon there will some presentations on planning expeditions, rural and altitude medicine then we’ll wrap up the day nicely with a practical scenario around Mt Vic to test some of the skills you learned during the day.

In the event of an accident or emergency, I authorise the executive members WHPSA and those delegated by them, to obtain for me all necessary medical and/or dental assistance and treatment as may be deemed necessary.

Although every care will be taken, WHPSA and its executive will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of either persons or property for any loss, damage, injury, illness, accident, delay or irregularity however occasioned during, or while in transit to or from, an WHPSA event, function or any other activity.
I will receive no refund of any kind for my purchase once submitted. If I am no longer able to attend this event I can gift or sell my entry to another WHPSA student.
